Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using SelfSM, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@selfsm.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including content generated, scheduled, or published through connected social media channels.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate, schedule, or publish content that violates applicable laws or the platform rules of connected social media services.
• Produce spam, misleading advertising, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
• Infringe intellectual property rights of third parties.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Share your account credentials with third parties or resell access to the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

4. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all brand content, knowledge assets, and posts you create using the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process and store it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

AI-generated drafts are provided as a starting point for your review and editing. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it is published. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, originality, or appropriateness of AI-generated output.

The SelfSM name, logo, and product design are our intellectual property. You may not use them without prior written permission.

5. Social Media Channels

When you connect a social media account, you authorise SelfSM to publish content on your behalf using the access tokens you provide. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of those platforms complies with their respective terms of service.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party social media platforms. Platform API changes or access revocations are beyond our control.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, as selected at checkout. Prices are displayed in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Taxes are calculated and added at checkout based on your location.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from the Settings page. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice to active subscribers.

7. Availability and Warranties

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, and events outside our control may cause temporary unavailability.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SelfSM is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for direct damages in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid for the Service during that period.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or with a prominent in-product notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and applicable member state law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the jurisdiction in which SelfSM is registered.
